NA Hydrogen Ecosystem conference
The Hydrogen Ecosystem North Adriatic Conference is a flagship platform dedicated to advancing green hydrogen innovation, collaboration, and investment across Italy (Friuli Venezia Giulia), Slovenia, and Croatia. It connects leaders from industry, research, and government to accelerate the region’s transition toward a sustainable and resilient energy future.
Initiated in 2021 by ECUBES, with the support of Hydrogen Europe, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, and national ministries, the Conference was conceived under the Quadruple Helix innovation model, fostering cooperation between business, academia, public institutions, and civil society. This collaboration led to the creation of the North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley (NAHV), the first transnational hydrogen valley in Europe, and positioned the region as a cornerstone of the EU’s hydrogen landscape.
Through its successive editions, the Conference has catalyzed over €800 million in projected investments, supported more than 20 pilot and industrial projects, and helped secure major EU funding for initiatives such as NAHV and NACHIP. Recognized by the European Commission as a model for hydrogen-driven transformation, the Conference has become a symbol of cross-border cooperation and innovation leadership.
Now co-organized by ECUBES and META Circularity, it continues to evolve into a European hub for hydrogen-related innovation, talent, and finance, driving progress toward the goals of the EU Green Deal and a climate-neutral economy.
In 2025 the Conference took place from 12 to 13 November 2025 in Nova Gorica.
